The Southwestern Randolph Boy’s Golf team competed in their second conference match of the season today. The match was hosted by Asheboro High School and played at the Asheboro Municipal Course. John McDowell led the Cougars with a nine hole score of 49. Jordan Reynolds carded a 57 along with Nicholas Cagle’s 61. Tyler Hill and Logan Walker each shot a 63. Justin Gillespie shot a 64. The match was won by William’s High School with a team score of 158. Asheboro finished second with a 161. They were followed by Southern Alamance, 182; Southeast Guilford, 190; and Eastern Alamance, 220. The medalist for the match was Asheboro’s Sam Davidson who shot a nine hole par 35. The Cougars next match will be a home non-conference match on Wednesday, March 20th. The match will be played at Tot Hill Country Club starting at 4:00.
